Indian consumer technology brand boAt has announced its entry into Sri Lanka, adding the country to its expanding international business alongside a simultaneous move into Bhutan.
The company said it would enter both markets with products spanning personal audio, smartwatches and charging solutions, adapting its portfolio over time to local preferences and market response.

Local relevance shapes expansion
The Sri Lanka entry forms part of the company’s “boAt 2.0” strategy, which includes international expansion and growth beyond its core audio business.
In its announcement, boAt identified young consumers, growing adoption of personal electronics and familiarity with Indian brands and popular culture as reasons for entering Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
Gaurav Nayyar, CEO of boAt, said the company intended to develop relevance in individual markets by understanding local consumers.
Broader regional presence
The expansion adds to boAt’s existing international footprint across Southeast Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
The company reported that international revenue more than doubled in its 2026 financial year. It plans to build its presence in existing markets while assessing further opportunities across South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Gulf.
Its announcement did not specify Sri Lankan retail prices, individual launch models or distribution partners.
