The Swadeshi Industrial Works PLC has expanded its Khomba Herbal range with three variants, adding Lily & Gotukola, Lemongrass, and Aloe & Cucumber to the local personal care brand’s offering.
The launch broadens the range through different ingredient combinations while retaining kohomba, also known as margosa, as a central part of the brand’s identity.

Three distinct product positions
Swadeshi is marketing Lily & Gotukola around youthful-looking skin, Lemongrass around lasting freshness, and Aloe & Cucumber around a cooling bathing experience. These are the company’s product claims.
The additions use separate ingredient stories to give shoppers more choice within the established Khomba range. The products are offered in carton packaging.
Extending a longstanding local brand
Chulodhara Samarasinghe, deputy chairperson and managing director of Swadeshi, said the range was developed to respond to changing personal care expectations while continuing the brand’s herbal approach.
Swadeshi was incorporated in 1941. The company’s launch announcement connects the additions with Khomba’s longstanding association with kohomba and its place in Sri Lankan households.
The extension gives the brand three distinct propositions within the same herbal range, combining a familiar brand name with new ingredient combinations.
